In my opinion, these first 7 cards are the rarest Digi-Battle Cards of all time. They have FX as part of their card number in the upper right corner. They are not to be confused with cereal promo or Swedish promo versions (which both have CP as part of their card number).
The following was an excerpt from kidsblockblog that might shed some light on where these cards originated. Special thanks to Sandy Boulware for bringing this to my attention and Alicia Shehorn for confirming the info.
“In spring 2000, one of the local affiliate promotions by Fox Kids was a set of “Digimon” trading cards. “Digimon is the hottest new show on FOX this season and it’s taking the nation by storm. To celebrate the success of the show, FOX-11 gave kids 4 – 14 a chance to win a limited edition pack of blue foil stamped Digimon trading cards. These cards were created specifically for this promotion by FOX and will be valuable collectibles due to their limited quantity.” The trading cards were Digi-Battle cards FX-01 to FX-07.”
These 3 were part of a Fox Kids magazine insert and have perforated edges from where you could tear them apart.
